tattoo aftercare

Otukaresama deshita! Thanks for coming in today to get tattooed!

Below are some important instructions on how to take care of your tattoo after your session!

Cling Wrap

Leave on for about 1 hour after your session, you can leave it on for up to 4 hours or until home. When you remove the wrap please gently wash the tattoo with warm soppy water (medicated bar of soap would be suitable). Gently wash your tattoo with the palm of your hand. Wash until the slime is all gone.

After all cleaned up and rinsed well, pat dry with clean paper towel or cloth. Air it out for a few minutes until completely dry. Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare product with clean hands.

Make sure you wash the tattooed area before you apply aftercare product. 2 times a day (morning and night) is recommended until 14 days is over.

Second skin!

Leave on for 3 to 4 days. When you remove the second skin, gently remove it in the shower under running warm water. Wash the tattooed area with warm soapy water.

After cleaned up and rinsed well, pat dry with clean paper towel or cloth. Air it out for a few minutes until completely dry. Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare product with clean hands.

Make sure you wash the tattooed area before you apply aftercare product. 2 times a day (morning and night) is recommended for 14 days.

Tips

  • Continue applying a professional tattoo aftercare product for 14 days post tattoo session.
  • If you feel any irritation under or around the second skin on the next day, please remove and refrain from using it.
  • It’s extremely important you use a professional tattoo aftercare product, using moisturising creams or lotions will result in damaging the skin or the tattoo.
  • Keeping the aftercare product clean and sterile is recommended! (No double dipping)
  • Keep your skin out of direct sunlight as No Sunscreen should be used until at least 14 days after healing.
  • Avoid swimming or soaking your tattoo in water. e.g, pools, baths, beach, saunas.
  • Day 3 to 5 is the itchy stage, it’s completely normal. It’s a sign of healing. Refrain from scratching or picking at the tattoo.
  • Your tattoo heals mostly from within, healthy diet and good sleep is recommended

All the best with your new tattoo!

Happy healing!!
